Cold Specks is the stage name of Al Spx, a Canadian singer-songwriter now based in London. She appeared on Series 39, Episode 7 of Later with Jools Holland. Her debut single “Holland” was released on October 17, 2011, and she is currently working on an album with producer Rob Ellis. Her musical style has been described as doom soul and shows the influence of American deep south gospel. In 2012, she signed with Mute Records and released her debut album, I Predict a Graceful Expulsion, on May 14, 2012.
